How to Stay Healthy as a Kid

Hello, friends!

This is Javier. :)

We all know that health is very important to us, young and old. Health is our own responsibility. Although we are still kids, but we have to take care of our health and be responsible to stay healthy. We cannot depend on our parents or other people to stay healthy. There are lots of simple things we can do to stay healthy as a kid. Try these!

Go Sport:
We must always go sport to keep us healthy. Do exercise regularly and make it as a habit for you. Just do some sports that are fun so that we do not feel that we are forced to exercise because it is like playing around with our friends, for examples: playing soccer, basketball and many other sports that are more exciting if we play with our friends. Go sport with your friends will give you more motivation, but just focus on the exercise first, then after that you can have a chat with your friends.

Fruits and Vegetables:
I think there are lots of children who do not like to eat fruits or vegetables that much. But, please understand that what our mothers say are true. Fruits and vegetables are very important to our health. We need to eat many fruits, like papaya because papaya can make our body cooler. Eat vegetables like carrot because carrot is good for our eyes and spinach that is rich in iron.

Wash our hands:
Before we eat, we need and we MUST wash our hands because if we do not wash our hands, we can easily get sick. Do wash your hands after going to the toilet or after doing anything that makes your hands dirty. Make it as a habit and you will not get sick easily like influenza or diarrhea.

Be "picky" with your food:
"Picky" here means that we should eat healthy food, rather than junk food. I know some people who do not like to eat fish that much. But, do eat fish because fish has many protein that is good for our health. It is okay to eat junk food sometimes, but don't eat it almost everyday. Be "picky" also when you eat junk food. It means: choose mineral water rather than soda, order more salads or don't eat the chicken skin because it absorbs too many oils and contains high-fat (although a crispy chicken skin is yummy).

Vaccine regularly:
As a kid, we don't have a good immune system like adults. So, do vaccinate yourself regularly. Remind your parents about this because vaccines can prevent us from serious disease.

Keep staying healthy.

Thank you for reading.
