The Green Island: Photo Gallery (part 2)

Dear Greensters,

A memorable moment at The Green Island floating dock of Serangan Island - Bali. Let's check our photo gallery of today taken by our mentor Mr. Dewa Gede Agung Dharmayasa.

Seahorses

We can adopt seahorses there. Adopting seahorses does not mean you take the beautiful creatures home. But, you release them back to the sea to their natural habitat. They should be at leats 8 months old to be released to the sea.

A Letter from President of TGTI: Chloe Carissa Putri

Dear Greensters,

Hi, my name is Chloe and I am the President of the Green Team for 2014 - 2015.

Green Team is a group that does good things for the Earth. Well, not only the Earth but for everyone else. Green Team to me is like a part of my life already. Everything that we do is like our routine. Sometimes, I feel really grateful for helping the Earth to grow better and helping others-in-need. Even though we sometimes do something we don’t like, at the end we’re always happy to have the chance of making a better future.

Vanessa's Essay in 'Collective Biodiversity Map' of Tunza-Ecogeneration & UNEP

The banner of the competition in the website
Dear Greensters,

This is Vanessa!

I am so happy because I found so many frogs in my garden. There are 'green frogs' and bigger frogs. So, I wrote about one of them which is a river toad called 'Bangkong River Toad'. In Indonesian language, it is called 'Kodok Bangkong Sungai'. I sent the photo and the essay about this Bangkong River Toad to Tunza-ecogeneration & UNEP for their monthly event of May 2014. The title of the competition is "Collective Intelligence Project: Our Neighborhood World Biodiversity Project". The event was to celebrate International Day for Biological Diversity. We just need to submit photos and essays about endangered-to-extinction species in our country. So, I sent this Bangkong River Toad. I found it was hiding under the shrubs of my Turmeric plants. I didn't win the competition, but I am happy because Tunza-Ecogeneration & UNEP included the photo and essay I sent in their 'Biodiversity Map'.

A Day in 'Yayasan Lengis Hijau': The Interview (part 3 - end)

Dear Greensters,

It was fun and interesting to visit 'Yayasan Lengis Hijau'. For us, technology can help us a lot, but technology is also ruining our beautiful Earth. Including the technology of creating cooking oil. Cooking oil is one of the important ingredients for cooking. But, if we don't use it wisely and properly, it can create diseases to ourselves and harm our planet.

A Day in 'Yayasan Lengis Hijau' (part 2)

Please Welcome President & Vice-President of TGTI!

Dear Greensters,

Hi! Patricia here!

We have some great news. The Green Team Indonesia has now a President and Vice President. We feel that we need them to lead the others. Their job is to support and organize this great team into something much better. In every event, they will choose the Speaker in order to give others chances to lead the event of the day successfully. This way, every member will have a chance to express themselves in each event, led by the President and Vice President.
