Biawak (Varanus) in My House!

Hi, Greensters!
Litte cute monitor lizard

It's me again. Vanessa. I am here to write something that can surprise you. :). Well, this morning there was a monitor lizard in my house. I will tell you what happened.

So the story is like this. This morning, when my parent's staffs were cleaning the house, they screamed but not really that loud then they started panicking, so my mom went outside and asked them what happened. They said that there was a monitor lizard inside the house! When my mom knew about it, she did not even freaked out or panic because she is used to it! So, she went back to her room.

Surfer Girl's Green Ambassador!

With miss Ayu Hartini (CSR & Green Practices
Manager of Surfer Girl)
Hey Greensters!!!

Patricia here :). Been a long time since I wrote in this blog. Sorry. I've been busy these days. First, I was chosen as one of "Kidpreneur Awards" finalists so I had to go to Jakarta for a week. Next, after I got back from Jakarta, my beloved Grandpa passed away. It was so sudden. I had to fly to my mom's hometown the day after he passed away. Then, when I returned home, I had to do my exams. My exams were actually already starting when I left so I had to take the exams alone. But even though we don't post in our blog, we still "Spread the word of Kindness" and do volunteering works. We just don't have time to write. So we'll start writing again and update our blog :)

Anyways, today, I'm going to talk to you about my trip to Surfer Girl's office few months ago. Why was I there? It's because I was chosen as Surfer Girl's Green Ambassador again!! I am so happy. I came there because I was going to sign my contract for year 2013 - 2014 with the Surfer Girl. Thank you for all your supports. Especially Surfer Girl for the support, trust and another chance. Also thank you for all of my friends that always support me and listen to all of my crazy ideas hehehe…. THANK YOU to all of The Green Team readers out there. Thank you everyone.

Nutmeg: Small but Important!

Hi, Greensters!
Nutmeg without the skin

It's me again Vanessa from The Green Team Indonesia. I'm  sorry that I did not write anything in the blog for two months because I have exams that time and because my grandpa passed away. May he rest in peace.

TGTI GO CAMPING (part 3 - end): FOREST's UNIQUE PLANTS

Mount Melingkuh in the distance
Dear Greensters,

This is VANESSA and really nice to see you again!

My sister Patricia has written two stories about the camping and hiking we had a week ago. And now I want to write about some unique plants we found during our hike in the forest. A forest is full of plants, big and small. Some of them have many benefits and some of them must be avoided. Mr. Kadek the owner of BOF (Bali Outbond and Farmstay) provided two hiking leaders for us to learn many things about plants in the forest. It was one of the most exciting moment we have during camping. On behalf of TGTI, we would like to thank Mr. Kadek and all BOFpeople. The knowledge you share is really useful for us.

TGTI GO CAMPING (part 2): HIKING

Hey Greensters!
Watch your step!

PATRICIA here :)

Last time, I talked about camping in TGTI Go Camping (part 1). Today, I'm going to talk to you about our hike in Baturiti. Around 10 AM, Mr. Kadek the owner of BOF (Bali Outbond and Farmstay) gave us some guidance before we went hiking in 'hutan lindung' area. It is a kind of protected forest in Bukit Melingkuh (Mount Melingkuh). Mr. Kadek said that the hiking would be a combination of hiking, trekking and adventure in a forest! It will be different with the last hike we joined where we just went around the fields in the village. So excited!
