Omelette ala Chef
Dear Greensters!

Shirley's here!

Today (28 September 2013), we went to Badung market to teach the kids how to cook omelettes. There were around 18 kids and some teenagers attended the class. They were so excited to cook omelettes like what we usually have in restaurants or hotels.

The older kids (teenagers) were the ones who cut the sausages, made the egg mixtures and diced the onions. Actually, we made a simple omelette so we can teach them easily. It was a really fun experience and for the first time the atmosphere wasn't that awkward. It was more lively.
Cooking together

If you want to make a quick and simple omelette at home, here is the recipe. We call it:

'Omelette ala Chef'.

Serve: 1

Ingredients:
1 egg
2 tablespoon of milk
Onions
Margarine / butter
Sausages (or any fillings that you like, such as: ham, bacon, mushrooms, etc
Salt and pepper to taste
Spring onions, cut into small pieces (if you like

How to cook:

  • Prepare the sausages by slices them. Cut the onions into small pieces or as big as you like.
  • Fry the onions with margarine until half-cooked. Set aside.
  • Fry the sausages (or any other fillings) with margarine / butter. Set aside.
  • Mix the egg with milk. Whisk well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix the egg with fried sausages and onions as you like. Add spring onions for a greener look if you like.
  • Fry the mixture like how we usually fry an egg with margarine / butter.
  • Enjoy when it's still fresh from the stove.
Yummy!

Thank you for reading.

Best Regards,

Shirley
