Beach Clean Up!

Hi!!

Always wear rubber gloves to protect your hands from germs and sharp  things
This is Shirley.

There are things we can do for Mother Earth, like cleaning the beach. You only need to invite some friends who would love to do beach clean up, garbage sacks  and gloves. It's easy but needs commitments in doing so regularly. Besides that, you can have fun being on the beach with your friends.

Some beaches in Bali are really dirty. The beach last time we visited was dirty, it was full with cigarettes, styrofoam, even pieces of broken glasses under the blanket of its beautiful sands! When we did the beach-clean-up, we divided ourselves into 2 teams. One was to collect organic trash and the other team had to collect non- organic trash. We started cleaning the beach in the morning and finished at noon. We saw oil in the sea. Like a lot of them. Our highest record of the weight of the trash was 20 kg. It took us forever to collect trashes.

Now if you want to beach clean up all you need to do is:

  • Prepare  rubber gloves, so that your hands stay clean
  • Prepare huge garbage sacks or anyother kind of sacks to put the  trash in
  • Wear sandals, because there might be fragments of glasses that can hurt your feet
  • Bring wet tissues and hand sanityzers to stay hygenic
  • Do it in the morning or at late afternoon so it wouldn't be too hot
  • Separate the non-organic and organic trashes in different sacks

By the way, we get the term of 'Beach Clean Up' from Surfer Girl who regularly does the 'Beach Clean Up' activities. We have been doing the Beach Clean Up in some beaches in Bali like Jerman beach and Double-Six beach. It was fun and we help the Mother Earth a lot by collecting trashes.

ENJOY YOUR BEACH CLEAN UP!!
