We have some catching up to do!! As we posted earlier, this week TGTI went to the City Mayor's office: Mr. IB RAI D. MANTRA. There, we talked about the environment and we shared our ideas to the City Mayor.
We were nervous at first but the City Mayor is a great guy. He is humble and kind and very concern about the environment. He said that our ideas are good. He also gave us some tips. He said that it would be great if 1 person could plant 10 trees. He told us to keep up the good work and he also told us to find more members.
We visited the City Mayor because he is number one person in our city. People would listen to him more than people listen to us. We both have the same intentions, which is to help take care of the environment.
As always, we gave him souvenirs such as: TGTI T-shirt, TGTI mug, TGTI plate of thanks and kangkong seeds. We had to wait for a long time to meet him but it was all worth it!
Then, the next day (Wednesday, 28 August 2013), we were surprised because our visit to the City Mayor was published in DENPASAR POST on page 2. They mentioned 'Taman Rama" because Taman Rama School is the school of most TGTI members and we went there by wearing school uniforms. :). It is mentioned in the newspaper that TGTI supports the City Mayor in creating the Clean and Green City of Denpasar. We are so happy about it. The City Mayor is indeed a very father-type person. He is willing to meet and welcome the children like us during his busiest times!
