This is Sharon! I'm back to share with you about how to be safe when we are home-alone. It is not a movie titled 'Home Alone', but we are home without parents around. Sometime we have to be alone at home with siblings or maids. It is quite dangerous if we don't know anything to do when we are home alone.
- Do not open the doors for people you don't know or strangers. If you open the door for them, they might try to kidnap you or they disguise as someone and they can try to steal your things. It is better to call your parents to check about the people who knock the door.
- Don't play with dangerous things like fire, it can burn your house. Don't even try to play with the stove. If you need to cook for some reason ask older person to help you. It is better if you ask your parents or other adults to prepare ready-to-eat snacks or meal for you so that you will not get hungry.
- Be careful if someone calls you on the phone. Do not give any signals that you are alone at home.
- You can use your time by doing your homework, doing your hobby or cleaning your room. Don't waste your time for something stupid.
- If you listen to music or turn on the television, do not put the volume on high position because you might not hear if someone knocks the door or the phone rings.
- Keep important phone numbers near you, like: nearest police station, your trusted neighbors, parents, fire station, hospital etc.
Being home alone can be fun too you can relax until your parents get home.
Have fun but be careful!
Best Regards,
Sharon
